Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford are among the Manchester United players to have checked into The Lowry Hotel on the eve of their clash with Liverpool.
Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer confessed the duo were doubts for the north-west derby after knocks in the Champions League in midweek.
Rashford marked his return from a shoulder injury with a goal against Leicester City last weekend and grabbed another against Atalanta on Wednesday before suffering a dead leg.
"Sometimes it can take longer than what you want," said Solskjaer of the minor injury. "But if we treat it well, he should be okay."
Fernandes played 90 minutes in the 3-2 victory over the Italian club but the Norwegian admitted he was a "doubt" for the visit of the Reds.
"It might be that I'm without two or three (players)," said Solskjaer in his pre-match press conference. "Yes, Bruno might be one of them and might be a doubt but he's doing everything he can to be ready."
Like Rashford and Fernandes, midfielder Fred is facing a late fitness test before he can be involved against Liverpool due to a thigh injury.
However, unlike his two teammates, the Brazilian was not pictured arriving at United's regular pre-match base on Saturday evening but is still expected to be a part of the squad.
Among those who also appeared to be absent from The Lowry Hotel were Raphael Varane, Dean Henderson, Alex Telles, Juan Mata and Anthony Martial.
Varane is ruled out until the end of the month with a groin injury sustained while representing France in the Nations League final, while Solskjaer has concerns over Martial's fitness.
"I'm not going to rule anyone out from Sunday but I'm not sure if everyone's going to be fit," said Solskjaer on Friday.
In Martial's absence, the United boss still has a wealth of attacking options to choose from.
Superstar striker Cristiano Ronaldo is expected to lead the line against Jurgen Klopp's undefeated side, while Jadon Sancho, Mason Greenwood and Edinson Cavani were also spotted arriving at The Lowry Hotel.
Meanwhile, Varane's injury means Victor Lindelof is expected to continue a Harry Maguire's partner, while Eric Bailly provides another option.
