England’s top clubs, including Liverpool, Manchester United, Man City, and Chelsea, should all be breaking the bank to sign Jude Bellingham this summer, according to former England midfielder, Owen Hargreaves.

Bellingham is the talk of Europe at the moment. His consistency for a teenager with Dortmund is exceptional, and he’s been earning rave reviews around the world. The interest is also there from big clubs. Indeed, the Independent has already claimed Liverpool are leading the race for the former Birmingham man.

The 18-year-old will no doubt be the subject of quite the clamour come the summer. And according to BT Sport pundit and former Man United star Hargreaves, the Premier League’s top clubs should be going all out.

“The thing is, everyone is going on about Haaland and rightly so. But honestly, if I’m a big team in England – United, City, Liverpool, Chelsea – that’s the guy you go and get. That’s the heart of your midfield for a decade,” Hargreaves said on BT Sport this week.

“Whatever it costs, you go make that happen. Because he is special.”

Bellingham turned heads as soon as he got his big move to Dortmund from the Blues. At the time, the German outfit shelled out £25m on the 17-year-old. Certainly, it looks like they’ve got value for money.

TBR’s View: Whoever Gets Bellingham Instantly Improves

And that isn’t just our view. Rio Ferdinand said in the same interview as Hargreaves that Bellingham instantly improves any team in world football. Surely, then, England’s best have to be in the mix?

Liverpool are a good fit for the youngster. He’d learn from Jurgen Klopp, play regularly, and can take over in the long-term from players like Henderson and Fabinho.

But, in fairness, Bellingham would be fine for any of the clubs mentioned. Whoever pays the £90m for the youngster, will be getting quite the talent and a sure-fire hit.
