Here is the list of the latest football players injuries, which might be helpful when you place your bets:

1.Granit Xhaka

29-Year-Old Midfielder Arsenal Premier

Injury Suspension Est. Return 2/10/2022

Sent off against Liverpool

Xhaka was sent off with a straight red card in the first half of Thursday's Cup semifinal against Liverpool.

ANALYSIS

It's the second red card of the season for Xhaka, which means this could be a longer suspension. For now, the belief is that he'll be given a three-game ban, keeping him out the next two league matches as well as the second leg against Liverpool. Unfortunately for Arsenal, they are short on options in the midfield and youngster Charlie Patino may be asked to start again.

2.Cedric Soares

30-Year-Old Defender Arsenal Premier

Injury Hip Est. Return 1/16/2022

Comes off injured in Carabao Cup

Soares was subbed out of Thursday's Carabao Cup semifinal first leg against Liverpool in the 11th minute after suffering an injury.

ANALYSIS

Soares was filling in for Takehiro Tomiyasu for the second-straight match Thursday when he was forced off after a hit to his hip. He's now a doubt for Sunday's league match against Tottenham, which puts Arsenal in a bit of a bind. Tomiyasu will hope to return from his calf issue and if not, Calum Chambers may get the call next at right-back.

3.Adria Pedrosa

23-Year-Old Defender Espanyol La Liga

Injury Suspension Est. Return 1/21/2022

Suspended against Cadiz

Pedrosa will miss next week's clash against Cadiz with a suspension for yellow card accumulation.

ANALYSIS

Pedrosa picked up his fifth yellow card of the season in Monday's defeat against Elche, meaning he will be suspended for next week's game. Didac Vila will likely replace him at left back for the match.

4.Keidi Bare

24-Year-Old Midfielder Espanyol La Liga

Injury Suspension Est. Return 1/21/2022

Suspended against Cadiz

Bare will miss next week's clash against Cadiz with a suspension for yellow card accumulation.

ANALYSIS

Bare picked up his fifth yellow card of the season in Monday's defeat against Elche, meaning he will be suspended for the game next week. Nico Melamed could replace him in midfield, or Yangel Herrera or Sergi Darder could return to the lineup if either are recovered from undisclosed injuries by then.

5.Sead Kolasinac

28-Year-Old Defender Arsenal Premier

Injury Hamstring Est. Return 1/23/2022

Out with hamstring issue

Kolasinac is not in the squad for Thursday's match against Liverpool because of a tight hamstring.

ANALYSIS

Kolasinac figures to go somewhere else in the transfer window and this injury may not be much of anything. He was a regular at Schalke last season and could return to Bundesliga if Arsenal let him. He's made just two league appearances this season.

6.Martin Odegaard

23-Year-Old Forward/Midfielder Arsenal Premier

Injury Illness Est. Return 1/23/2022

Tests positive for COVID-19

Odegaard tested positive for COVID-19 and is out Thursday against Liverpool and likely Sunday at Tottenham.

ANALYSIS

It's another absence due to COVID-19 and unfortunately for Arsenal, they don't have a ton of depth at the moment. Eddie Nketiah enters the XI Thursday with Alexandre Lacazette moving back in the formation. Odegaard is expected to return for the Jan. 23 contest against Burnley.

7.Nicolas Federico Lopez

28-Year-Old Forward/Midfielder Tigres UANL Liga MX

Injury Illness Est. Return 1/15/2022

Misses Clausura opener

Lopez wasn't in the squad for Wednesday's 1-1 draw against Santos due to a positive COVID-19 test, Jessika Mendez of Medio Tiempo reported Monday.

ANALYSIS

Lopez is expected to remain one of the Tigers' main offensive threats, though he'll likely have to wait one or two more weeks for his Clausura 2022 debut. The striker's place was taken by Carlos Gonzalez against Santos, and that could happen again Saturday versus Puebla with Luis Quinones also coming into contention after serving his suspension.

8.Luke Thomas

20-Year-Old Defender Leicester City Premier

Injury Undisclosed Est. Return 1/15/2022

Available again Saturday

Thomas (undisclosed) will be available for Saturday's match against Burnley, according to manager Brendan Rodgers.

ANALYSIS

Thomas will be available again after missing last weekend's Cup match. He's needed because Leicester had some issues on the left side in that game, using a variety of youngsters. Thomas hasn't provided a ton of fantasy value this season, but he's gone a full 90 in seven of the last eight in league play.
