Here is the list of the latest football players injuries, which might be helpful when you place your bets:

1.Lorenzo Pellegrini

25-Year-Old Midfielder Roma Serie A

Injury Thigh Est. Return 1/23/2022

Diagnosed with minor injury

Pellegrini did not suffer a strain but he has a sore scar in the same area as a previous one, Corriere dello Sport reports.

ANALYSIS

Pellegrini will most likely sit out the next game against Empoli, the publication adds, but the new problem should not sideline him for an extended period of time. He missed over a month due to a more significant issue in the same are in December. Roma will lean more on newcomer Sergio Oliveira, Jordan Veretout and Henrikh Mkhitaryan with Pellegrini on the mend.

2.Nicolo Rovella

20-Year-Old Midfielder Genoa Serie A

Injury Thigh Est. Return 1/22/2022

Late scratch Monday

Rovella was a late scratch for Monday's match against Fiorentina because of thigh discomfort. Pablo Galdames replaced him in the starting XI.

ANALYSIS

Rovella was recently back from a thigh injury and this was set to be his first start since Dec. 1. Unfortunately, it looks like he wasn't ready to return and may have to miss more time. Given this, it's hard to see him returning ahead of the international break with Galdames an option to start, as well as Manolo Portanova or Filippo Melegoni.

3.Charlie Taylor

28-Year-Old Defender Burnley Premier

Injury Undisclosed Est. Return 1/23/2022

Dealing with injury

Taylor is back from COVID-19 but has picked up a knock, according to manager Sean Dyche.

ANALYSIS

It's been a whirlwind of a week for Burnley, who lost Chris Wood in addition to deal with injuries, COVID-19 and AFCON absences. Taylor has started 17 matches at left-back this season and isn't available for Tuesday's match against Watford, which is set to be postponed.

4.Ashley Barnes

32-Year-Old Forward Burnley Premier

Injury Thigh Est. Return 2/8/2022

Needs more training

Barnes (thigh) needs more time before he returns to the first team, according to manager Sean Dyche. "He's making some headway now but needs real training with us, games and stuff like that because it's been a long time."

ANALYSIS

Barnes hasn't played since October and has been out since early November with the injury. He probably hasn't been completely fit in a couple years, but his return is needed, as Burnley are stretched thin in their attack with Chris Wood gone to Newcastle.

5.Matej Vydra

29-Year-Old Forward Burnley Premier

Injury Groin Est. Return 1/23/2022

Set for hernia operation

Vydra had to get a hernia operation delayed because of a positive COVID-19 result, confirmed manager Sean Dyche.

ANALYSIS

Dyche didn't actually say that Vydra was still getting an operation, as he mentioned the forward was back in training and making sure "he's okay." There's not a ton of clarity on the situation, as there's a chance he could play through it. For now, it's assumed he'll be out until another update comes out. That could mean a partnership of Aaron Lennon and Jay Rodriguez for upcoming games.

6.Mario Lemina

28-Year-Old Midfielder Nice Ligue 1

Injury Not Injury Related Est. Return 2/6/2022

Returning to Nice for medical tests

The Gabonese Football Federation announced Monday that Lemina and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang are returning to their clubs for medical tests after cardiac lesions were found after they had tested positive for COVID-19.

ANALYSIS

Lemina and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang had tested positive before Gabon's opening game in the African Cup of Nations on Jan. 10 and then were released from quarantine ahead of the second game on Friday. But they weren't allowed to play after doctors said the cardiac lesions were detected in their medical examinations. The pair are now returning to Europe for further testing, and it is unclear whether they will potentially be able to return for the knockout rounds or not.

7.Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

32-Year-Old Forward Arsenal Premier
